Traffic Lane Offences
Traffic Lane Offences
Crossing marked lanes in various zones is a common offence, with heavy penalties issued.
In NSW for instance, letting your trailer wheels drift over the edge line within range of a camera could cost you plenty.
The current fine for a heavy vehicle is over $1600 and 4 demerit points, a much higher fine than would be applied to a light vehicle in the same circumstance.
However, most marked lane offences allow for exceptions and provisions that give you a defence in many cases. These cannot be ruled out by a single camera image, nor can a camera account for an obstruction such as a pothole or similar. If you encounter one of these fines, contact us via the Contact Form for a free assessment.
