Highway Advocates is a law firm built for the transport industry. We defend truck drivers and operators against:
Our story began in Victoria, grew through Queensland, and is now firmly based in New South Wales.
We have an office in Parramatta, close to the NHVR and Transport for NSW.
And an office in Goulburn, near the Marulan HVSS, we are right where heavy vehicle law is enforced.
We regularly appear in Courts across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory.
Highway Advocates was founded in 2020 by Robert Bell, a former truck driver who knows life on the road first-hand.
He partnered with Principal Solicitor Rodney Boyd, an experienced criminal lawyer from Goulburn.
Together they built a firm dedicated to professional drivers and businesses affected by the NHVR and State regulations.
Robert’s grandfather, Cecil Roy Bell, was born in Marulan, and along with his friends, served in the Australian Imperial Force during World War I.
Cecil Bell served in the 12th Light Horse Regiment and rode in the famous Charge of Beersheba.
That heritage ties us to Marulan — a place at the centre of Australia’s road transport network.
Our mission is to:
We believe in a future where:
We’re building that future by defending the people who built this country. One driver, one case, one Court at a time.
Where we come from fuels us.
Where we’re going drives us.
We have first-hand experience in Criminal and Traffic law with a focus on:
We have results that matter:
We represent clients across all States and Territories, including New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory.
